Hi Dan Jones here, welcome to the portals of my imagination.

For 40 years,  I have lived and worked as a professional artist in and
around South Lake Tahoe, CA. The sheer beauty and majesty of
the region propels my vigorous relationship with nature. Through
art making, I am continually drawn into the spirit that lives in
matter.

For 30 years I primarily worked as a commissioned
sculptor doing private, public and civic installations and wood
carvings that expressed the nature of Tahoe.

Although I painted throughout my career, these last 10 years have taken me into a
deeper relationship with the nature mysteries at the easel.
My painting is sourced in “green thought” that activates the
nature and cosmic receptors in the viewer.

I believe there is an “innermost forest” waiting to be indwelled inside each human
being, a deep desire to connect to nature, to return to the green,
and to wander in the cosmos. I have been inspired by nature to
make art which, in turn, invites the viewer to re-imagine nature, in
an experience of Magical Realism.
